National Mead Day – Mead Up Weekend
Unlike breweries and most wineries in Virginia we are unable to sell mead by the glass. The exception is that eight times a year we are able to obtain a special permit which allows us to serve to you by the glass. We call these special weekends: MEAD UP.
National Mead Day is quickly approaching and we know you want to celebrate it properly. Enjoy some great food, music, and of course mead when you join us for Mead Day weekend.
What’s new this time? Since we are celebrating National Mead Day all weekend we joined forces with Black Heath Meadery in Richmond to create some delicious and unique mead blends that will only be available this weekend. We will also have our first open mic night!
On the music front we are excited to have our friend Diana Dunnavant playing the harp for us on Sunday afternoon. On Saturday at noon we are welcoming jazz duo Tony Mata, guitar, and Christopher Brydge, bass. Then on Saturday evening we look forward to hearing David Gussman on the accordion . Think celtic meets french bistro!
On the food front we have Charly’s Airport Restaurant serving supper on Saturday! More food options coming soon…

We first heard David with his klezmer band, and are excited to hear him on his own! Think french bistro meets celtic.
Diana Dunnavant– Harp
We’ve been waiting for Dianna to be available and can’t wait for you to hear her. Be transported to another time and place as you listen to a live harp and sample mead.
