This past weekend I headed north through snow and slush to visit five different meaderies up the east coast. This has been the most educational experience yet for understanding the mead business and how meaderies operate. I sampled some great meads, enjoyed a group tour, a couple of private tours and got to know some of the people who make up this industry. One thing everyone has in common is an adventurous spirit and a willingness to collaborate and share information. If you live near any of these meaderies please stop in and say hi. Tell them Glenn from Silver Hand Meadery in Virginia says hi!
