We’re excited that our mead is currently in the final stages of fermentation! And it is tasting fantastic! We can’t wait till we can make it available for pickup. Our formula and label approvals from federal and state governments are getting close. We are now anticipating mid February for our first release. Later than we hoped but only off by a couple of weeks. If you haven’t joined our email list now is a good time! We are a small-batch facility with limited production. If you are on our email list you’ll be the first to know when our mead is ready and you’ll also have the opportunity to come in and purchase before everyone else!
Pre-orders are still available if you want to guarantee getting one of our first bottles produced. Our traditional mead, Virginia Moon, and our cyser (apple cider mead) Dream by the Fire, will be the first two ready. Here are the latest comps of our label designs.
The Christmas season was a busy one for us. With three boys under age 11 and a new business, we had our hands full. Our corks arrived, our bottle boxes arrived, we started our 3rd and 4th batches, and on top of that sold a lot of mead, honey and other merchandise. We could barely keep up with the demand! A lot of visitors came in for mead and honey tastings too. We really enjoyed having the opportunity to tell everyone more about mead, honey and the honey bee. It’s always a fun moment when people have the epiphany of, “Wow, these honeys really do taste different” and, “I never knew mead tasted so good.”
